BRINE TRANSFER PUMP

Brine transfer pumps ensure that salt water underground is removed to the surface in salt extraction method by solution mining. This process is made by a sealed pump called a submersible pump. Advantages of these pumps are to preventing problems associated with pump cavitation and a height difference between the pump and the fluid surface.

WORKING PRINCIPLE OF BRINE TRANSFER PUMP

  • Liquids accelerated by centrifugal propeller convert kinetic energy into pressure energy.
  • The pump shaft is connected to gas separator or shield by a mechanical connection at the bottom of the pump.
  • Fluids pass pump through an inlet screen and are lifted by pump stages.
  • An optional thrust bearing takes some of the resulting axial forces in the pump, but most of these forces are absorbed by the thrust bearing of the protector.
  • Electric submersible pumps are multistage centrifugal pumps operating in vertical position.
  • Fluids accelerated by propeller lose kinetic energy in a diffuser, which transforms kinetic energy into pressure energy.
